April 26, 2013

hilo, HI

Local peace activists are holding "NO DRONE" signs along a busy road in Hilo, Hawaii each Friday in April.
And not only during the month of April.... "NO DRONES" protests all year long!

The Hilo peace vigils have been religiously staged EVERY week since September 12, 2001, organized by local peace activist, Jim Albertini, director of http://www.malu-aina.org

Each week a new peace leaflet is written for distribution via the internet and our website, and also handed out to people in downtown Hilo.

The five points of unity for our weekly peace vigil are:
1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject war as a solution. 3. Defend civil liberties. 4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-Hawaiian, etc. 5. Seek peace through justice in Hawai`i and around the world.

If you would like to be put on our peace action list to receive the weekly leaflet please email ja@malu-aina.org or simply check out our website for new postings.
