Toby Blome's report back: We had an amazing 2 days (Oct 29 -30) at Beale Air Force Base, that included shutting the Main Gate down for over 4 hours, including a drone victim "die-in"! Mid-morning into our blockade, 4 of the "risk arrestees", with supporters, went to the Doolittle Gate to extend the "SHUT DOWN" of this drone base. After blocking Doolittle Rd. (halfway to the gate) for about 10 minutes, we were quickly arrested, held with wrist restraints, and released 45 minutes later with federal trespassing citations. We then rejoined the others at the Main Gate and provided support while 5 more, standing just over the base boundary line, were also arrested, detained for about 45 minutes and released with the same charges. Here's a quote from the Sacramento Bee: "CHP officers allowed the Beale protesters to exercise their free speech rights, while also maintaining the safety of motorists, stated a CHP press release."
