Our Feminist GA at Occupy Maine Summer Camp co-facilitated by CODEPINK Maine women was held with 30 people of all genders and diverse backgrounds and ages. We met together and engaged in thoughtful conversation where people listened to one another they spoke honestly and from the heart about how patriarchy affects them as individuals, society, and the Earth. Break out sessions by gender identity gave time to talk about our goals for a better world that's possible. One comment that clearly resonated was the need for more opportunities to come together and talk about our visions for a humanistic system beyond patriarchy. |
